Meet your Retreat Team

Muriel Gardner - I am the owner of Wild Oak Farm. I was born and raised in New York City, however, am a country girl and nature lover at heart. I graduated from the U of A in 1996 with a degree in Wildlife Biology. It was a surprise to nobody that I did not return to NYC after graduating. I settled on a career in dog training, allowing flexibility to be available for my kids. Our years exploring the great outdoors as a family brought us through country towns, farms and lavender fields. Nature and animals had a strong impact on myself and my children. These experiences provided clarity on what my next chapter would be. I chose to get out of the city in pursuit of my lifelong dream - to create an escape from the daily grind. A place where the pace slows enough to breathe deeply. To take in the sights, sounds and smells of nature and farm life. I am blessed to have found my happy place and the opportunity to share it with others.
